soooo. thirsty

So I guess we're in a game drought now, nothing really interesting for the next month or so... nothing I'm interested in anyway.

I've been really hooked on Worms, I never fully finished GRAW2 and I keep coming back to Worms, maybe because it's easy to play for an hour and have fun. A number of friends bought GRAW2 so at least I'll have some pals to go through the co-op missions with.

I borrowed my friend's PS2 the other day. I really wanted to play God of War so I picked it up cheap for $25 new at London Drugs. The game is really awesome, great fun, good story, good voice acting. It is REALLY hard to downgrade to SD gaming though. I guess I'm a graphics whore but the game looks pretty weak to a lot of HD games. Thankfully the game is a lot of fun so it's pretty easy to overlook the ugliness.

I still need to finish up the Thief, Assassin and Arena quests in Oblivion. I may put them off for a little bit since I'm happy with God of War and Worms for now. Even though there is a drought the next while there is still more than enough to keep me busy.

I'm old and still I run out of quarters

What the fuck, XBLA has been putting some really great games on arcade recently. I bought Alien Hominid. I really like the art style but it is hard as hell. I haven't had time to finish the game though as I've been plugging away at Oblivion trying to get the last few achievements I'm missing.

I also bought Worms since I loved the PC version of the game (Worms 2). I'm a bit disappointed though as the multiplayer seems to have lots of hiccups (once you finally get a match started it seems to work great) and the AI in the single player campaign is really cheap (banking a grenade off 3 surfaces and landing it right next to your last Worm is pretty lame). Overall I like it but I can't help but think they could have improved the game a bit, made it a bit better. It's a no-brainer, defo worth the money but they left enough out that I can't help but think the XBLA size limits hurts Worms pretty bad.

This week is TMNT, which I'm debating getting, for 400 points it's an easy buy and the fact it's a great party game is good. I haven't decided on it yet though as playing it solo would probably be pretty boring.

I picked up GRAW2, FutureShop had a sale for $55 so I couldn't resist, $15 off the retail price is awesome. Sadly I finished the game on regular difficulty in a weekend, I'll defo be playing it on hard but I can't help but think it's slightly shorter than GRAW1 and slightly easier too. It was cool though because my last trip to Vegas I stopped in at the Gun Store to shoot some automatic rifles and it turns out that GRAW 2 had my two favorite guns. It was cool to shoot the M635 both in game and remember what it was like to shoot the real thing..The sound obviously was identical and so I enjoyed the game all that much more. My two favorite weapons in the game were the M635

And the MP5

Overall I'm pretty happy with GRAW2, I just need to get a few friends to buy the game so I can finish the Co-op with friends. I still need to finish the achievements for GRAW1 so I guess I'm getting ahead of myself.
