Play this

Well I finally finished God of War. I had 5 different PS2 joysticks at my disposal and in the end I was forced to use one that R2 wasn't functioning. Luckily my last save game had me at near health and full magic so I could finish the final encounter. I have no idea what the original owner of the PS2 was doing that so many of his joysticks were dead. Either they have shitty quality or he was using them to hammer in nails or something. Each was dead differently too. Some dead buttons, some perpetuall pulled to the right on the left stick, some just plain dead and system wouldn't recognize..

I finally got banned from NeoGAF. I guess they thought I was showing my XBOX colors too much because I criticized Factor 5 for their retarded comments in a GameInformer article stating that the lack HDMI was a main component why they didn't support the X360. Oh well, to be honest I can't see Lair selling very well anyway. It looks sort of dull from all the recent movies I've seen.. I certainly won't be buying a PS3 for it at any rate.

I've been trying to get through more of Viva Pinata but I really don't like it to be honest. I like sandbox games but this game is so open ended that I start playing it and after 5 minutes feel like "why the fuck am I doing this again"? I guess I like a game to at least some semblance of story. I was thinking of trading it in (along with Fight Night Round 3 and perhaps something else) for credit at EB. I'm not sure if I will or not though. I really despise the used game industry and don't want to contribute to it but I have a feeling that I'll never play FNR3 or Viva Pinata again so why bother keeping it.

Lots of good arcade games on XBLA recently. I'm really into Eets and Pinball though I haven't had a ton of time on either. Nice to see some interesting stuff on XBLA for the last month or so.

  • Eets' Marsho Madness game modes it a lot of fun. It might be worth the $10 just for that.
